atmospheres of Sicily, Mediterranean island for excellence, a cross cultural road in which today, the strong rooting of the local culture and the new global trends , agree and clash..
And its just this kind of search that I Musicanti do: making the Mediterranean tradition its own and at the same time taking you to meet the different experiences (jazz, rock, folk, etc) of the musicians who make part of this group. Results have not been late to arrive: in four years of activity I Musicanti have 3 original cds to their credit , “A testa mi rici” (2003), “Assumma assumma (December 2005) and “….pi nun perdiri lu cuntu….”(tribute to Rosa Balistreri- 2007) , about ten concerts in the main squares of western Sicily, many their songs transmitted on radio and tv programs and are now getting a positive reply from critics and public both on a local and national level. |
