If, as we think, the land where we were born and live, preserves a nature that holds out against homologation because it has an “other” point of view, proudly different and fertile, “I Musicanti” lend voice and sound to this point of view. We want to give you the taste of this borderland. This border, however, is not the place where the world ends. More so, this border is where different worlds touch and meet in history; a land that bears longer traces of all those worlds. The timbre search directed to lend its voice to this point of view, doesn’t end up in a study on the colours of sound but it regards the processes of the composition in music and words, feeding off the sensitivity and the peculiar Sicilian “feelings” of the musicians who developed it. Pieces of a musical plot loaded with small chromatic and dynamic fading comes from this search . Compared to the dazzling monochromy of speed, I Musicanti propose this land’s got a lot of colours that you can feel only when life slows down.
